Busy Gym Workout Routines

Prelude: Feb 2006

I'm new to the gym and I feel pretty intimidated. My aim is to copy one of the routines in the magazines, but its turning out to be quite tricky getting it done. Every time I go near a piece of equipment some big bad dude wants to use it………..I seem to be waiting around a long time. How can I make progress if I can't even get started?!

I hit the gym quick, did my thing and left the same way.........well that was the plan. As I was getting changed one of the regulars got talking to me. OK, at me. It was the usual; how he'd been in the gym for an hour jogging, an hour weights, and an hour rowing . I could tell (and smell) he wasn't bluffing, he was dripping with sweat. Prelude: Not so long ago, in a gym just like yours

Picture three guys working out together, lets call them Skinny, Chubby, and Beefy. They all had very different goals; Skinny wanted to "get big" so he couldn't see his ribs when he tried to show off his abs. Chubby wanted to lose weight before he went to University, and Beefy, he just wanted muscles on top of his muscles.
